1. How long have you lived in Murray?
I've lived in Murray my whole life - from the lake area in New Concord to now inside the City.
2. What is your favorite restaurant in Murray?
Knowing whom I am, this is probably the hardest question to answer, but my favorite places and food selections to eat are:
Breakfast: Sammon's Bakery's Bacon, Egg & Cheese on their Homemade Bun
Lunch: Mugsy's Hideout's Franky's Fingers & Fries or Burrito Shack's Steak Burrito
Dinner: The Keg's Cajun Pork Chops or The Alley Steakhouse's Mussels and the 32oz. Porterhouse Steak
Dessert: Dumplins' Strawberry Cake or Artisan Kitchen's Bourbon Cream Cheese Carrot Cake
3. If you had $75 to spend in Murray, how would you spend it?
Let's pretend it's a Saturday in the early fall ... I'd wake up early, grab my two boys and some friends and run down to hazel and scarf down some Huevos Rancheros (over easy, of course) from the Blue & White Grill. After breakfast, I'd make a journey to the downtown Court Square and walk through the Farmers Market to get some fresh bread, fruits and veggies and converse with friends. I'd then swing by Thoroughbred Spirits to purchase some of my favorite libations and run by Off The Hoof Meats & Deli for some ground Angus beef to prepare for an afternoon of tailgating and then I'd end my evening with family and friends as the sun sets while watching the Racers kick off at Stewart Stadium!
4. What is your favorite Murray memory?
Honestly, my favorite memories change constantly! Every weekend is a new adventure in Murray, especially when you're raising two boys (12 & 13). My favorite memory could be one on Kentucky Lake catching crappie with my sons or the first class I taught as an instructor at Murray State University or the day I had a ribbon cutting for opening my business ... And of course I'll never forgot my son at four years old screaming "Flush the Peay" in the CFSB Center for the first time.
5. Describe Murray in three words to someone who has never visited.
Charming, Diverse and Tranquil
