Proposals
A Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau representative can submit a formal presentation fitting specific conference or sporting event requirements. A proposal will include accommodation rates, sample itineraries, meeting facility venues, transportation options and other information important for a successful event.
Presentation
A CVB representative will share what Murray can offer as a host location, presenting a proposal to a committee or board.
Site Visit
The planning process is always easier when viewing locations first-hand. The Murray CVB can show planners the facilities and amenities Murray has to offer.
Welcome Letter
The CVB will write a personal letter to be placed in event packets addressed to event attendees, welcoming them to Murray.
Housing Bureau
For events in need of multiple hotel accommodations, the CVB can compile a list of rates or room blocks from a variety of hotels located in the city.
Planning Assistance
The CVB is available to assist planners in searching for the perfect activities to fill an event schedule. This could include city tours, entertainment or area attraction suggestions. Also, to plan the smaller details the CVB can assist in finding photographers, caterers and local florists, as available.
Official City Welcome
The CVB can schedule a city representative to give an official welcome address for the opening of your event.
Marketing and Public Relations
The CVB staff offer the following services:
Media Releases— The CVB staff can create and distribute releases to the local media outlets, with information provided.
Media Contacts – A list of all local media contacts is available for use.
Online Event Calendar – If the event is open to the public, it can be placed on the Murray CVB event calendar online at no charge.
Murray Visitor Packets – Per request, Murray visitor packets including brochures, maps and postcards can be sent to attendees prior to or at the convention.
Area Photos – The CVB can provide photos of the Murray area, taken by our personal photographers to be used in event publications and promotional items.
The Murray CVB also offers these additional services:
City Guide – A tour guide can be assigned for use on any official tours set up with the Murray Calloway Transit Authority.
Murray Welcome Bags—These bags will include visitor information, a postcard and selected Murray items. To receive these bags a request must be submitted at least one month prior to event date.
Information booth – During event, an informational booth can be set up with a Murray CVB staff member available to answer any questions attendees may have about the Murray area.
Hotel Gift baskets – VIP and Board members, are eligible to receive special gift bags to be placed in their hotel room. These items will vary to fit members needs.
