Holiday Excitement in Murray

Starting Friday, December 2, Murray will be a hustling and bustling place full of holiday cheer. The holidays are a notoriously busy time in Murray, we have so many events throughout the community, but the first weekend of December is bigger and busier than ever. The Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau wanted to put together a list of every event and time to make getting to each thing easier for your family and friends!

5:00 p.m.

Murray Electric System teamed up with Murray's Rotary Club for the Second Annual Rotary Light Up Christmas Parade will begin at 5:00 p.m. With over 60 entries, the community will be dazzled by all of the floats, cars and even animals decked out in Christmas Lights. You will want to be sure to stay to the very end for Santa! GEC will be bringing Santa in on his sleigh as the last float of the parade. Not only can you enjoy the work of all the businesses and organizations, you can vote for your favorite! David Taylor's Text to Vote, allows you to vote for your favorite entry and help them earn a custom trophy from Murray's Rotary Club.

If getting out in the crowd and cold is something you are hoping to avoid, you can watch the parade from the comfort of your own home. On Murray Electric's channel, you can watch the parade with Councilman, Jeremy Bell, and Harold Hudson as your hosts.

7:00 p.m.

After the excitement of the parade, you can go cheer on your Murray State Racers at the CFSB Center. Go Racers!
