Workshops will resume in-person starting in April for Need Line’s Empty Bowl fundraiser in the fall. Please email the MAG at murrayartguild@gmail.com or call 270-753-4059 to make an appointment for your group.
Murray Art Guild, in partnership with Need Line of Murray, participate in the national Empty Bowls Project, designed to combat hunger. The MAG, through generous donations of time and material, hosts and facilitates bowl making workshops throughout the spring and summer. These handcrafted bowls are then given away with soup in NeedLine's annual fundraiser in the fall. The 2018 Event raised $4,000 for NeedLine! :)
These workshops are designed for 8 - 12, multi-age participants with no experience in ceramics. Workshops typically take about an hour; all materials are provided. We generally recommend a $3 donation per bowl to help offset the costs of materials. This is a great project for youth groups, scout groups, or any other club!
Workshops begin in April & end in September. / Need Line’s Empty Bowl Event is usually in October
