Freedom Fest 2022


Celebrate Independence Day in Murray, Kentucky, July 1-4 with Freedom Fest! Family fun and patriotic spirit awaits you during this jam-packed weekend of events. The FNB Bank Freedom Fest Parade marches down Main Street at 9:30 am, on July 4, as locals and visitors line the streets. This year, the parade will have a special guest of the 202nd Army Band of the Kentucky National Guard! Freedom Fest goes out with a bang during everyone's favorite event, The Murray Bank Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:00 pm.

Friday, July 1

6:00 - 8:00pm: Murray Art Guild Summer Party | at Murray Art Guild

Join the MAG for food & drinks (for purchase), ice cream, live music, outdoor demos and hands-on projects for kids to make this a fun & lively kick-off to MAG’s membership drive!

Saturday, July 2

7:00am - Noon: Downtown Farmers Market | at Downtown Court Square

5:00pm - 9:00pm: 15th & Olive Live! | Located at 15th St. & Olive Blvd.

Vendor booths and live music, highlighted by Murray’s own Olivia Faye! Presented by Calloway County Tourism and Murray State University.

Monday, July 4

7:00am: Veteran's Remembrance Ceremony | at Chestnut Park

7:00am - 9:30am: Gary Taylor Memorial Breakfast | First Methodist Church

Boy Scout Troop 45 will be hosting the annual fundraiser breakfast before the parade! Tickets will be $10 at the door ($5/kid, 12 & under); To-go options will be available.

9:30am: FNB Freedom Fest Parade | The parade route begins at 10th St. & Memorial Baptist Church, and rolls down Main Street, ending at Cherry St.

This summer the parade will have special guests featuring the 202nd Army Band of the Kentucky National Guard!

6:30pm: MSU Town & Gown Community Band and Chorus | Lovett Lawn

Free outdoor concert featuring the 202nd Army Band of the Kentucky National Guard! Grab chairs, blankets and snacks and listen to patriotic music before the fireworks.

9:00 pm: The Murray Bank Fireworks Extravaganza

The fireworks can be viewed anywhere along HWY 641 North near Kroger, Walmart or the Chamber of Commerce
