Pianist Anthony Weinstein will present a Guest Artist Recital on Sunday, January 28, at 2:00pm in the Performing Arts Hall. The program will feature two staples of the piano repertoire: Schubert's Sonata in B-flat Major, D. 960, and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
Dr. Weinstein teaches piano literature and secondary piano at Oberlin Conservatory. He earned two bachelor's degrees in Oberlin's Double Degree Program—a B.M. in piano performance and a B.A. in pure mathematics with Honors. His subsequent degrees—a Master of Music, Performance Diploma, and Doctor of Music with distinction—are from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. His teachers include Luba Edlina-Dubinsky, Sedmara Rutstein, Haewon Song, Derison Duarte, and Roger Vignoles.
