Longest Night Service
Located at First Christian Church at 111 N 5th St, Murray, KY 42071.

 December 21st, The Winter Solstice, 7 PM ~ “Longest Night - Service of Light”: ~ A Service of Scripture, Psalms, Music, and Candlelighting.  
(To be held on the Winter Solstice, which is the longest, darkest night of the year, this worship service is for those who are lonely, mourn, who struggle, and who despair as well as those who simply want to take some time out from the frantic pace of life to reflect on God’s promises to us as we watch and wait for the birth of the Christ Child in the beauty of our candle-lit sanctuary.  It will create a sacred space where we will acknowledge this darkness, share our pain with God, and seek to open up our hearts anew to receive God’s love and light.)  We will sit together in a candlelit sanctuary as we listen to quiet contemplative music, and hear scriptures, psalms of lament, and meditations that remind us that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
