Philanthropy Week 2024


Philanthropy Week 2024 is coming up! See above for a detailed schedule and plan to join us for some wonderful events.

Kicking off the week on Monday, April 15th, there is a “Empty Bowls Make Day” for Needline with the Murray State University Clay Club. This will be from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 16th, there will be a Panel Discussion called “The Role of Arts Nonprofits in Economic and Community Development.” This will be at 6:00 p.m. in the Barkley Room at Murray State University’s Curris Center.

For Wednesday, April 17th, there will be a Philanthropy Week Keynote address, led by one of Murray States very own Program Director of Nonprofit Leadership Studies, Dr. Elise Kieffer, Patricia and Robert Long Endowed Faculty Fellow, Murray State University. This will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Murray State University Curris Center Theater.

Thursday, April 18th, will entail a Murray Academy of Nonprofit Development and Leadership Graduation Ceremony at 2:00 p.m. at the Murray State University Heritage Hall.

Lastly, to round off the week, Friday, April 19th, there will be a Community Concert for the Arts and Donna Herndon Award for Civic Engagement Ceremony from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the Murray State University’s Quad.
