The Calloway County Public Library is pleased to kick off Black History Month 2024 with a special presentation of When Scholarship and Activism Collide: The Theology of James Cone by guest speaker Dr. Brian K. Clardy on Sunday, February 4, at 2 p.m.

Dr. Clardy will talk about the Rev. James Hal Cone’s life and share insights on the corpus of his work and where he fits in as one of the creators of modern black liberation theology. In addition to Dr. Clary’s presentation, the program will also feature vocal performances by talented vocalist and musician Stephen Keene.
