Holiday Guide to Having a Murray Little Christmas
Jingle your way through the town of Murray, where Christmas cheer is all around. There are a lot of holiday traditions that this small town would love to share with you!
Grab a Holiday Drink!
Enjoy time at our local coffee shops and supporting small businesses. If you don’t know where to go to get your favorite holiday drinks or are wanting to try something new, we suggest Shaffer Coffee, Future Grounds and 5th and Main Coffee shops.
Holiday Shopping!
With your holiday drink in hand, don’t forget to stop in to local businesses to shop for all of your Christmas needs. The majority of our retail stores in Murray have holiday deals going on from now until Christmas. To check out some of the local shops or to read more about what they have to offer click here!
The Murray Bank Festival of Lights!
Being a part of the small town allows families in the community to enjoy the holiday events for free! Take a drive through Central Park for the Festival of Lights displays. From now until January 1, you are able to enjoy these fabulous lights from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Write a Letter to Santa!
Of course, we are a little biased, but our favorite tradition for the holidays are the Letters to Santa. This is the right time of the year to be making a list, and checking it twice. Feel free to drop off your letter at the Convention and Visitors Bureau on 206 S 4th Street, in the Santa Mailbox. You can also grab a Santa Letter online if that works best for you and your family. He may even write you back, if you’re on the nice list this year!
Santa’s mailbox will disappear on December 15. Don’t wait to write your letter to Santa!
Pictures with Santa!
Don’t just write a letter to Santa, make sure to meet him in person, too! There are a lot of different opportunities to get photos with him around the town of Murray. Suggestions of where he is when he’s not in the North Pole are as follows:
December 8 from 3:30 - 5 p.m.
December 9 from 9-11 a.m.
December 10th, 16th and 17th from 1-4 p.m.
December 16 from 1-3 p.m.
Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical!
If you would rather watch Christmas come to life, we suggest attending a night at the Playhouse in the Park for the Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. To read more about the holiday show or to get tickets for this event click here!
