All Campus Sing: A Murray State Tradition with a Heart for Music
Every April since 1958, the steps of Lovett Auditorium have transformed into Murray State’s most electric stage. For generations, this beloved tradition has brought together students, alumni, and the community, flooding the quad with music, energy, and Racer pride. With Greek life, student organizations, and campus groups battling it out in choreographed performances, All Campus Sing is one of the year’s most unforgettable events.
Sigma Alpha Iota’s Philanthropy & Giving Back
All Campus Sing is hosted by Sigma Alpha Iota, a women’s fraternity at Murray State University dedicated to supporting the art of music. As their annual philanthropy event, ACS raises funds to support music education in local schools and money for People to People, which provides material assistance and resources to schools in need across the world.
A Celebration of Music & Murray State Spirit
Every year, Murray State Alumni return to campus from near and far, reconnecting with old friends and reliving the excitement of the event. Their return brings a sense of nostalgia, connecting past and present. As alumni cheer alongside students and faculty, it only strengthens the sense of pride in Murray State that makes the day so memorable.
While All Campus Sing is a fundraiser, it’s also about bringing people together. It’s a chance for students, organizations, and the community to unite and show how important it is to get involved. For SAI, this is an opportunity to remind their audience that music is a universal language that brings about meaningful change.
Beyond raising money, Sigma Alpha Iota’s involvement in All Campus Sing reinforces the fraternity’s dedication to sisterhood and service. The months of preparation, rehearsals, and teamwork bring members closer together, highlighting their collective passion for music. It's a tradition with a purpose, where music connects people and creates a lasting impact beyond the stage.
“As a student who has performed and coached I can say that it is one of the most rewarding experiences to work so hard on a performance and see it come to fruition on the steps on Lovett ... My most cherished memory from All Campus Sing was being able to give back to the music program that brought me to Murray State University and SAI. I think that the event’s ability to bring so many people together while also raising money to give back to our communities makes it such a rewarding and unique experience that I hope many are able to take part in!”
