It may come as no surprise to you that the fall season is when Murray, Kentucky shows its best self! We have many community organizations who put on kid-friendly activities and fall festivals for the entire family to enjoy. Read below the top 10 fall activities happening from now until the end of October!
Locust Grove Corn Maze
Open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in September from 6-9 p.m.
Try your best to not get lost in the corn maze! This family-friendly event is FREE to attend, and refreshments are provided. Donations are gladly accepted and will be distributed to the Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens Center and the Locust Grove Baptist Church Youth Group.

Fall on the Farm at Pullen Farm
Saturday, September 23 ( 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. )
Fall on the Farm is an annual family event, organized by the Hutson School of Agriculture at Murray State. Kids are encouraged to get their hands dirty at the different educational activities, witness a live milking demonstration, or get lost in the corn maze. Did we mention the huge slide will be set up?! Tickets are $5 to enter, and concessions will be available.

Murray Downtown Farmers Market
Every Saturday from 7 a.m. to Noon, until October 28
Here’s what’s in season at the market this time of the year: pumpkins, gourds, apples! There’s no better time to attend the farmers market in downtown Murray than when we see the first sight of pumpkins and mums. Make sure to follow the Downtown Farmers Market Facebook page for updates each Saturday morning!
Fall Fanfare Concert at MSU
Saturday, September 30 at 2 p.m.
Part of Murray State’s Family Weekend, many students perform a fast-paced concert at Lovett Auditorium to raise money for music student scholarships. This year, you will hear the Wind Ensemble, Commercial Music Ensemble, Concert Choir, Racer Band and others perform! Tickets are available through the Family Weekend package, or for purchase at the door.

33rd Annual Hazel Day Celebration
October 6-7
Enjoy two full days of events and activities in Hazel! Friday includes vendors (food and craft), musical entertainment by Sticky Sweet Sugar Beats, and a family movie night showing Angels in the Outfield. Rolling into Saturday, the day starts with the Hazel Day Parade, then the Hazel Woman’s Club car show, cake walk, petting zoo with pony rides, and musical entertainment by Tommy Akers Band. Don’t miss the bounce houses and foam party! Throughout the weekend, Hazel shops will be open to browse sales and markdowns, and various vendors will be set up along to street.

Harvest Fest at Central Park
Saturday, October 7
Lake Chem is hosting their third annual Harvest Fest this year! Enjoy everything you love about fall festivals at this FREE event for the whole family. Spend a fun afternoon in Central Park with tasty food trucks, classic fall festival games, inflatables, then cozy up for a showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas at the Amphitheater!
CFSB at Sunset at the MSU Doran Arboretum
Friday, October 20 (4:30 to 8:30 p.m.)
Hang out with your friends at CFSB and bring the whole family for a corn maze, trail of treats, tasty fall snacks, and a showing of Hotel Transylvania beginning at 6:30 p.m!

The Mousetrap at Playhouse in the Park
October 20-29
Recognized as the world’s longest-running play, The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie brings thrill and suspense to the stage!
After a local woman is murdered, the guests and staff at Monkswell Manor find themselves stranded during a snowstorm. It soon becomes clear that the killer is among them, and the seven strangers grow increasingly suspicious of one another. A police detective, arriving on skis, interrogates the suspects: the newlyweds running the house; a spinster with a curious background; an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef; a retired Army major; a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift; and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. When a second murder takes place, tensions and fears escalate.

Families with toddlers, tweens and teens are invited to dress up in their best costumes to trick or treat for candy throughout the library!

Fall Country Ham Breakfast at the Murray Masonic Lodge
Saturday, October 14
Enjoy an ALL YOU CAN EAT breakfast spread featuring country ham, sausage, biscuits, country gravy, red eye gravy, and eggs cooked to order.
A donation amount of $10 will be collected to be donated back to the community at local organizations in need!
Applefest at Land Between the Lakes

Bethel Fellowship Church is hosting a Falliday vendor fair and yard sale! Shop new and new-to-you items like embroidered or sewn items, wood crafts, sublimation shirts and cups, and crocheted items. Concession food and drinks will be available!
