FROM PARTIAL TO TOTAL: A GUIDE TO EXPERIENCING THE 2024 ECLIPSE
Presented by Dr. Matthew Williams
The Calloway County Public Library will host From Partial to Total: a Guide to Experiencing the 2024 Eclipse, a special eclipse program presented by Dr. Matthew Williams, on Monday, March 25, at 6:00 PM.
Murray is just an hour's drive from the path of totality. The 2024 eclipse is the last chance to see an eclipse close to home for the next 20 years! Join us for a presentation covering the science behind the eclipse, its historical significance, and how to safely experience its wonder, whether you plan to view it from Murray or venture into the path of totality. Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to make the most of this extraordinary event on April 8. See you there for an unforgettable experience!
Dr. Matthew Williams is a professor of physics and astronomy at Murray State University. He enjoyed his first solar eclipse experience in Almo, Ky, in 2017 and is looking forward to sharing some of the science behind what causes an eclipse and tips for getting the most out of this rare opportunity.
The program is presented free of charge, and all are welcome to attend.
