This class explores how to make our own unique repeating patterns and how to use those patterns as design elements in process-based work. First, we will discuss how to make shapes repeat, then create different designs on graph paper and assess the various traits of our shapes. Using our favorite design, we will carve a stamp and see all the different patterns that can be created with that one stamp. After testing the patterns on graph paper, we will use fabric paint and print a lasting pattern on a tea towel as our final piece. All experience levels welcome!
